Iran film ‘Israfil’ by Ida Panahandeh is to partake in the 16th Filmmor Women’s Film Festival in Turkey.

Being a follow-up to Panahandeh’s first film ‘Nahid’, 'Israfil’ (2017) is a narration of needs and challenges in human interaction.

The drama features Pejman Bazeghi, Hedieh Tehrani, Merila Zarei and Hoda Zeinolabedin.

Previously, ‘Israfil’ was screened at the 15th edition of the Audi Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland as well as BFI London Film Festival.

Amongst the 48 films to be screened at the Filmmor Women’s Film Festival, there is no competition, only solidarity with the aim to increase the involvement of women in cinema and to provide them with the opportunity to express themselves in the field.

The Filmmor Women’s Film Festival will kick off on March 9th, 2018 in three Turkish cities of Istanbul, Izmir and Adana.
